Grrrl Front

I volunteered for the Grrrl Front in Portland, Oregon. The founder reached out to me for a logo and poster design. Since this festival is to empower feminist artists and causes. I created a girl's face to represent the theme. My inspirations were the riot grrrl's fashion style, zine and cd cover design. I wanted to create a poster design that is an attention grabber and easy to read. I noticed a lot of posters on the poles all have different colors, fonts and sizes. I decided to make this poster in black and white. So it would stand out from the crowd. It made me happy to see people stopped by and read about the event. Some people told me that the logo really stood out because of the round shape kind of looks like a target. Happy accident?
